Classification of lighting
Direct lighting: The light of the lamp is directly projected on the area to be illuminated, and generally the light loss is less. For example, common downlights and the like belong to this type of lamps.
Semi-direct lighting: Use lampshades, etc. to reflect light diffusely through the lampshade, so that the light diverges and has a certain sense of atmosphere.
Indirect lighting: The light of the lamp passes through the reflective surface such as the ceiling, and then reflects to the working surface. The light is softer and the immersion is good. For example, some light strips are designed for indirect lighting.
Classify the lamps according to the beam angle: usually about 45 degrees is used as the watershed between the narrow beam angle and the medium beam angle. The boundary between the medium beam angle and the wide beam angle is around 100 degrees. In this way, the lamps are divided into narrow beam angle lamps, medium beam angle lamps, and wide beam angle lamps. This division is especially important in the field of downlights and spotlights. This will be related to the size of the spot and the choice of lamps,
According to the light source: the common ones are incandescent lamps, halogen lamps, fluorescent lamps, ultraviolet lamps, high pressure sodium lamps and so on. The word lamp here mainly reflects the characteristics of the light source. The lamps reflect more practical uses and scenarios, such as indoor lighting, outdoor lighting, display lighting, decorative lighting, transportation lighting and so on. Since we mainly talk about home lighting, we will focus on the classification of indoor lighting fixtures.
Classification of commonly used indoor lighting fixtures
Ceiling lamps: commonly used lamps, simple in shape, and named according to their installation characteristics. The bottom is attached to the roof and installed, just like being adsorbed on the roof, so it is called a ceiling lamp. The common ceiling light source is LED light source. Although the ceiling lamp is simple in shape, it has a variety of appearance styles. In addition to its lighting function, it still has a strong decorative effect.
Downlight: It is shaped like a tube, so it is called a downlight. Now the commonly used light source for downlights is also LED, and the structure includes a driver, a light source, a control panel and a casing. Downlights are divided into surface mounted and concealed, that is, recessed downlights. Due to the relatively uniform light of the downlight, it can be used as both basic lighting and local accent lighting. In addition, the LED light source has a long life and low maintenance cost, which has become one of the important reasons for the re-popularity of the mainless lamp.
Spotlights: Similar in shape to downlights, except that spotlights have reflective cups and usually do not have a hood. The light is more concentrated and directly projected down with a beam angle. It is often used as accent lighting or decorative lighting.
Chandelier: It is also a kind of main light, which can provide basic lighting. Generally hoisted in the ceiling, the decorative effect is good.
Panel light: also called flat panel light, it is generally used in the kitchen and bathroom, and is often buckled on the integrated ceiling or ceiling. Mainly use the principle of LED side-emitting light guide, or LED direct light output.
Floor lamps: Commonly used auxiliary lighting fixtures, often matched with sofas, are called sofa companions. It is usually composed of a light source, a bracket, a lamp holder, etc. It is characterized by easy movement and a certain decorative effect.
Desk lamp: It is a local lighting fixture, often used in the study or the bedside of the bedroom, for work and study. The requirements for light quality are relatively high, usually the illuminance is 300 to 500lx, the color rendering index is 85 or even above 90, and the uniformity of light and anti-blue light and anti-glare have high requirements.
In addition, there are wall lamps, light strips, foot lamps and so on. There are also detachable light sources, such as bulb lamps, etc.
